God is in control;
Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow!
Covid-19 prevents us from meeting; God is in control!
The Last 7 Sayings of Jesus Christ
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34. This offers a glimpse into Jesus' heart for His enemies. He understood His opponents did not realize their role His death. In His greatest torment, Jesus cared deeply for His most adamant opposition.
“Today shalt thou be with Me in paradise.” Luke 23:43. Christ's response to the criminal on the cross who believed in Him. Despite the fact that the man had lived a sinful life and had no time to live differently, His faith in Jesus was enough to hear Jesus grant Him salvation.
“Woman, behold thy Son.” John 19:26. Even in His torment, Jesus showed great concern for His family. The disciple John was commanded to care for Mary as if she was his own mother.
“My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” Mark 15:34. Jesus declared His difficult emotions, asking why God the Father would turn away from Him during His most difficult human struggle. This statement was a fulfillment of the prophecy spoken by the palmist in Psalm 22:1.
“I thirst.” John 19:28 gave a reason for the Roman guards to bring Jesus vinegar mixed with wine, fulfilling Psalm 69:21.
“Father, into Thy hands I commend My spirit.” Luke 23:46 notes the point at which Jesus realized His body was about to die. His Spirit would return to the Father in Paradise.
“It is finished.” John 19:30 provides the final words Jesus spoke before His death on the cross. He declared His work and purpose had been completed. The payment for the sins of humanity had been fully paid through His sacrifice.

Thank you for joining us and listening. May God bless you as we weather the storm, and to the One who can command the storm (Mat 8:27) be all the glory.
Col 3:15 - Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Gal 5:22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
I Pet 5:7 - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
In our prayers
- We are thankful Lord that You are still in control in the midst of this pandemic and that You have promised to never leave or forsake us (Heb 13:5).
- For the Covid19 Pandemic and for the recovery of those infected we pray they will cry out to the Lord and receive His help. For the scientific community in their quest to understand and fight this virus.
- For frontline workers like medical personal and first-responders, for strength, protection & health. We are so thankful for their sacrifice & we ask for their health and safety. Help them as they see patients lose the battle with Covid19. For national, state and local leaders that they would have wisdom to lead and be able to contain the spread of this pandemic.
- For our most vulnerable, those with health challenges we pray for protection, as well as for the poor and homeless, those in shelters and those in poor nations, for their provision and care. For those experiencing financial hardship with the closures of so many businesses. For single parent homes with limited income already and now confined to homes. For those who are feeling anxious, isolated, and afraid – may they find assurance and provision in You Lord.
- For Christians both here and around the world, that we may continue to serve and minister to our neighbors in the name of Jesus.
